Martyrs’ Day was celebrated with reverence in Arya College Girls’ Section under the aegis of Gandhian Study Centre of the college. On this occasion, a program was organized to commemorate the life and sacrifice of Mahatma Gandhi. The program began with paying floral tribute to the Father of the Nation. The students and staff members paid emotional tribute to the Father of the Nation. On this occasion, a book mark making competition and a paper reading competition was organized in which the students presented their views on the topic ‘Mahatma Gandhi: Source of Inspiration’. Along with this, the students also sang bhajans and shabads remembering the messages of Gandhiji. Appreciating these efforts, ACMC Secretary Dr. S.M. Sharma said that we should take inspiration from the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Principal Dr. Suksham Ahluwalia said that it is the duty of all of us to remember the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi. Dr. Mamta Kohli, in-charge of the Girls Section and Honorary Director of the Gandhian Study Centre, asked the students to incorporate Gandhiji’s principles in their daily lives.

आर्य कॉलेज गर्ल्ज़ सेक्शन में कॉलेज के गांधियन स्टडी सेंटर के तत्वाधान में शहीद दिवस श्रद्धा के साथ मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर महात्मा गांधी के जीवन और बलिदान को स्मरण करते हुए कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का प्रारम्भ राष्ट्रपिता को पुष्पांजलि अर्पित करने के साथ हुआ और छात्राओं एवं स्टाफ सदस्यों ने राष्ट्रपिता को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि दी। इस अवसर पर बुक मार्क मेकिंग प्रतियोगिता करवाई गई तथा छात्राओं ने ‘महात्मा गांधी : प्रेरणा स्रोत’ विषय पर अपने विचार प्रस्तुत किए गए। इसके साथ ही गांधी जी के संदेशों को याद करते हुए छात्राओं ने भजन और शबद भी गाए। इन प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए एसीएमसी के सचिव डॉ.एस.एम.शर्मा ने कहा कि हमें महात्मा गांधी जी के जीवन से प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए। प्रिंसिपल डॉ. सूक्ष्म आहलूवालिया ने कहा कि महात्मा गांधी के योगदान को स्मरण रखना हम सबका कर्तव्य है। गर्ल्ज़ सेक्शन की प्रभारी और गांधियन स्टडी सेंटर की मानद डायरेक्टर डॉ.ममता कोहली ने छात्राओं को गांधी जी के सिद्धांतों को अपने दैनिक जीवन में शामिल करने के लिए कहा ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਗਾਂਧੀਅਨ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤੀ ਹੇਠ ਆਰੀਆ ਕਾਲਜ ਗਰਲਜ਼ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਵਪੂਰਤ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ‘ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ‘ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਸਰੋਤ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ’ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਭਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵੀ ਗਾਏ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਏ.ਸੀ.ਐਮ.ਸੀ. ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਡਾ.ਐਸ.ਐਮ.ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਲੈਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਸੂਕਸ਼ਮ ਆਹਲੂਵਾਲੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਫਰਜ਼ ਹੈ।ਗਰਲਜ਼ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਂਧੀਅਨ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੇ ਆਨਰੇਰੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਡਾ.ਮਮਤਾ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।
