Sanskrit

The Department of Sanskrit started in year 1946 with a three-year Under Graduate course in B.A. programme. The department envisions a revival of the love and use of Sanskrit as a language in the modern context. It aims to popularize this ancient language as one which can be used in computer programming as well as in the interpretation of our scriptures. The consistent efforts of the faculty in this direction have resulted in a steady increase in the number of students pursuing this course. This department assumes a special significance in the college as it reflects the ideology of Arya Samaj.
