Department of Hindi of Arya College Ludhiana organised an Extension Lecture on ‘Various Aspects of Hindi Literature in Bhakti Kaal’. Smt. Jaswinder Kaur, Head, Department of Hindi, Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Girls, Model Town Ludhiana was the keynote speaker. Speaking on the topic, Smt. Jaswinder Kaur said that Bhakti Kaal is considered the golden age of Hindi Literature. By giving the message of love, knowledge, spiritualism, morality, meditation and sacrifice, the poets of this period safeguarded the culture and civilisation of India. Giving detailed information of this literary period, she also answered the queries of the students. Secretary ACMC Smt. Satisha Sharma congratulated the department for the successful conduct of the programme. Principal Dr. Suksham Ahluwalia inspired the students to explore Hindi literature as it is very resourceful in itself. Dr. Tajinder Bhatia, Head Department of Hindi and Organiser of the programme said that the literature of Bhakti Kaal is enriched with every aspect of spiritualism and meditation and the lecture will surely widen their mental horizons. At the end, Ms. Kumud Chawla Dean of Arts Faculty extended a vote of thanks to the speaker and the audience.
