The P.G. Department of Computer Science of Arya College Ludhiana organized Freshers’ Party for students of BCA, PGDCA and M.SC (IT) on 24th September 2022 in the college campus. Various cultural activities like Group Dances, Fusion Dance Solo Dance, Solo Singing and Bhangra performances were presented by students which were highly appreciated by one and all.
Dr. Rama Bansal, Incharge of the P. G. Department of Computer Science welcomed the Chief Guests of the evening, Smt. Satisha Sharma, Secretary ACMC, Dr. Savita Uppal, Member ACMC, Dr. Suksham Ahluwalia, Principal, Arya College Ludhiana. In her address, Smt. Satisha Sharma appreciated the participation of students in different items and advised them further to participate in cultural activities, games and sports for their overall personality development and future career growth.
Nidhi from BCA I was crowned as Miss Fresher and Harsh of BCA I as Mr. Fresher. Chetanjot Singh and Varanpreet as First runner up from BCA I and PGDCA I respectively and Nitish and Hiti as Second Runner up from BCA I .
In her address, Principal Dr. Suksham Ahluwalia, appreciated the efforts of the department and inspired the students to continue their efforts in future too. She said the main purpose of Freshers’ Party is to welcome new students in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. Dr. Rama Bansal, Incharge Dept. of Computer Science gave Vote of Thanks and congratulated the winners and appreciated to all the participants for their significant presence in “Abhinandan – 2022” and turned this event into grand success.
